Mar 30, 2015 1. Type the following command in an open terminal window on your computer to generate your private key using SSL: $ openssl genrsa -out /path/to/wwwservercom.key 2048. This will invoke OpenSSL, instruct it to generate an RSA private key using the DES3 cipher, and send it as an output to a file in the same directory where you ran the command. The private key does not need to be there unless you are going to use it to sign a certificate containing another public key. When you are sending over your public key, instead send over an entire certificate (except for the private key), signed using the associated CA private key. Apple Root Certificates. Apple established the Apple Root Certification Authority and the Apple PKI in support of the generation, issuance, distribution, revocation, administration and management of public/private cryptographic keys that are contained in CA-signed X.509 Certificates.
To generate a private key and get a Certificate Signing Request:
1. Open a command prompt. Navigate to c:openssl-win32bin.
It can also happen if your certificate has expired or has been revoked. Ensure that your app’s provisioning profile contains a valid code signing certificate, and that your system’s Keychain contains that certificate, the private key originally used to generate that certificate, and the WWDR Intermediate Certificate. Apple Root Certificates. 2. At the command prompt, enter the following commands to generate a private key.
3. Enter the following command to generate Certificate Signing Request.
Enter Details for CSR
Use the name of the web server as the Common Name (CN). If the domain name is mydomain.com, append the domain to the host-name (use the fully qualified domain name, FQDN).The Common Name field should be the FQDN or the web address for which you plan to use your Certificate, for example, the specific area of your site you wish clients to connect to using SSL.
For example, an SSL Certificate issued for druva.com will not be valid for secure.druva.com. If the web address to be used for SSL is secure.druva.com, ensure that the common name submitted in the CSR is secure.druva.com.
If you are using Druva inSync Cloud the common name will be cloud.druva.com
The fields for email address, optional company name and challenge password can be left blank for a server certificate.
4. Locate the file “customer.der” in c:openssl-win32bin.
5. Upload it to Support Portal.

6. Druva Support will reply with an new file “plist_encoded.dat”. This is the Signed CSR.
Establish trust using certificates and cryptographic keys.
Overview
The certificate, key, and trust services API is a collection of functions and data structures that you use to conduct secure and authenticated data transactions. Specifically, you use this API to manage and use: Download hd youtube videos online mac.
Certificates and identities. A certificate is a collection of data that identifies its owner in a tamper-evident way. When you use a certificate to distribute a public key, a receiver can be confident of its origin. You can also package a certificate together with its corresponding private key in an identity object that you keep secret.
Policies and trust services. When you receive a certificate, before you can use the embedded public key, you have to answer the question, “Can I trust this certificate?” You conduct an evaluation of trust according to a set of criteria, or a trust policy.
